L1 - WR Referee Certificate

INTRODUCTION

• Participants eligible to register : Anyone aged 16 and over, coaches, educators, referees, players, from rugby clubs in Switzerland.
• Trainers: World Rugby Referee Educators.
• Certificate : World Rugby Match Officials. Certificate Level 1.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is designed to give people who wish to become referees a basic level of knowledge. This introductory course consists of an online module to be completed prior to the course and a one-day training module delivered by a World Rugby educator. This module is conducted in English and French.

After the successful completion of the online module, the face-to-face course covers referee preparation and provides participants with role-playing exercises on typical game phases

Participants who wish to referee matches in Swiss leagues will then have to register on the SportLomo platform and give their availability to be appointed.

A World Rugby Level 1 certificate will then be issued to participants who complete the course.

The registration fee is CHF 100 per person. This covers:
